João Gomes is the founder and Chairman of the Board at Uppsala born MG Sustainable Engineering. The company works primarily with sustainability, renewable energy, and solar power in particular.
João has a PhD in Concentrating Photovoltaic Thermal Solar Collectors. He has spent a considerable amount of time in Switzerland and the Czech Republic. After his education in management, technology, engineering, and environmentalism, he’s had over 12 years of experience in the field of sustainable energy. In his time in the field, Joao has managed several large projects in the EU.
Joao worked as a research director at Solarus Sunpower Sweden for almost 10 years. Now, he is a Board Member in the company. He has also dedicated stints to working in Lund University, Cardiff University, Galve University, and CERN. Besides solar technologies, Jaoa enjoys working in the fields of project management and research & development.
